About me

Ananta Mohanta ''children's book illustrator ''

Hello, I’m a children's book illustrator with 15 years of experience and my name is Ananta Mohanta.

I was born and spent of my life in West Bengal, India. But now live in a Barasat city with my family.

When I was a child, probably, like all children, I loved to draw. But I never thought that I would connect my life with an illustration artist like  illustrating children's books  .. And I thought that I would not be able to become an artist, much fewer a children’s books illustrator. In addition, the adults next to me often said that you can’t earn a living by drawing. Maybe you great to hear that I've been drawing since childhood. It's clear that art has been a lifelong passion for me. Developing my skills from a young age has likely helped me develop a unique style and voice in my illustrations.honestly feeling proud I'm children book illustrator.

Honestly single word is, ‘’I LOVE TO DRAW’ ’when I was 18+then I will go to Art collage, and pass out the Art collage,

, and focus in my carrier. At the very beginning of my journey, I drew with a simple pencil on ordinary paper, and many medium, like water color, pencil stroke ,inking, oil in canvas, Acrylic, and manual illustrating children's books E.T.C  but something was missing for me. So, I realized that I want to try new traditional materials. after that I will learn Digital art or painting and start illustrating children's books .

From the delicate strokes of watercolors and gouache to the vibrant hues of colored pencils and pastel crayons, my artistic journey began with traditional materials. The timeless charm and beauty of these classic mediums continue to inspire and delight me. As I look to the future, I am excited about the possibility of returning to these traditional techniques for creating children's book illustrations.

Today, my creative process predominantly revolves around digital art. I embrace the modern tools of the trade, using my Wacom tablet with Photoshop and occasionally my iPad with Procreate to bring my visions to life. These digital platforms allow me to explore new dimensions and details in my artwork, adding depth and vibrancy to my illustrations.

Each character I create is like a child of my own, evolving with every touch and brushstroke. My characters embark on journeys, face challenges, and grow through their experiences, making them relatable and engaging for young readers. My goal is to craft stories and illustrations that resonate with children and bring smiles to their faces.

Bob The Seeing Eye Frog Coloring Book (The Adventures of Bob The Seeing Eye Frog

Bob The Seeing Eye Frog Coloring Book (The Adventures of Bob The Seeing Eye Frog

This is a funny, rhyming picture-book poem about a happy dog who wears eyeglasses so he can see. His only problem is flies keep getting behind the lenses causing him fall. So, he has a seeing eye frog on his head to keep the flies away. The dog stops stumbling into things, (from having swatted at flies), and the frog gets a free ride with free meals. As they help each other, they become friends. Eventually, the frog discovers a helpful character riding on top of his own head, and then that newly discovered character learns of a helpful character on top of his own head, too. Everyone gets along great...even though they are different species. The real story is about my dog Happy who had epilepsy. I always wished for a way to heal Happy. Even with excellent veterinary care, his life was still a challenge for him. One Christmas we found him bumping against the back door having a paddling seizure. I rushed him to the vet only two miles. What a Wonderful, caring doctor!!! He, his assistant and I took turns by Happy's side for three straight days and nights. His medication and lots of extra love gave him a long and happy life. I miss Happy. I emailed pictures of him playing with my youngest son to an accomplished artist, Ananta Mohanta, (who is also a sculptor), on the other side of the world. Accomplished is an understatement. I can hardly draw a stickman, but Sabuj...(that's his nickname)...brings art to life. The Bob The Seeing Eye Frog Coloring Book is exactly the same as the actual, full-color paperback book, including all text, except...the interior is in Black & White. This enables and encourages children to explore and to develop their own style of artistry while emulating a professional artist. They also will be able to easily add text and characters to the storyline as they become authors themselves. This is the kind of book which you and your children will enjoy together for many years to come. I always laugh when I read it. I hope you do, too:)

Money management is an important skill that helps people of all ages while giving a secure feel. Learning this skill can help people prevent financial stress and life-threatening emergencies. People with money management and money-saving skills live a happier life than people who don’t have. Human learning is a never-ending process until the last breath but the earlier age learning has no comparison at all. Lessons learned in childhood are never forgotten and especially when they are wrapped in the story style of writing. Parenting is not just about upbringing the child and educating them in high-five schools. It also includes giving them life lessons so they can be a better human beings because those who earn and save as well as spend on the families are far better than those who are dependent upon the families or the society in which they live and are a burden to each one of them.
